Style Crush: Hair Ribbons

I can't get enough of the messy hair, delicate ribbon combination. Simple, sweet, and chic.

Picnic In The Forest

How idyllic is this picnic in the forest editorial? It's really beautifully styled as I covet everything from her clothes to her humble, but tasty-looking spread--and I rather think the woods look like Ireland. Hopefully there will be some picnics like this in my future, until then I'll just start the fruitless hunt for similar boots and picnic blanket in my budget! via

Style Crush: Wide Brim Fedoras

I'll gloss over all the possible fedora jokes and just say: I'm really into the look of a wide brim fedora right now. I have a similar wide brim black hat, but with a floppy shape and the more structured look of a fedora is appealing to me more. For one thing floppy, soft-shaped hats seem more summery and a more stiff hat seems autumnal...although I don't know why! Anyway here's a small collection of the looks that are inspiring me right now.

Style Crush: Kiana

Most of my style crushes have been people I've been following via their blogs or a fan of for years, but there are a few ones that are newer to me that are inspiring me with fresh style. Kiana of Finch and Fawn is one of those people. I've only known her blog for around a year but I'm a big fan of her often vintage inspired outfits and the way she mixes earth tones so well. Her style is classic without being boring or stuffy.

Bundled

Instead of a style crush this week there's a look that inspiring me: the cozy, bundled look that all starts with a beautiful scarf. I'm not completely sold on scarves the size of blankets, but after last winter they're growing on me. It's only when I start to collect a few favorites that I notice other themes, such as a muted color palette. Bring on the earth tones and neutrals.
