Vermont Bound

*pictures from my phone & instagram
An accurate picture of my life right now would be 50% in my messy, crowded little car and 50% staring in appreciation of the autumn foliage in Vermont. I'm also half in love with the state and half terrified of the enormous piles of wood every house seems to have which warns of a worse winter than we see in Pennsylvania (which is bad enough!). But right now it is beautiful and everyone I am with is snapping away with their cameras and phones as we try to soak up the color as much as possible. I'll probably have a good "postcards from Vermont" post later down the road but right now I'm just sharing a few of the scenic stops I captured on my phone.

London Leftovers

*the Natural History Museum & the Victoria & Albert Museum
I'm back stateside, but here are a few leftover photographs from my brief adventures around London with my sister and Thomas. We did a lot of walking, a little shopping, saw the red poppies spilling out of the Tower of London, admired antiquities in museums, sat in parks, sipped cider in pubs, slept on floors, and generally had a good time. It's always amazing how much you can pack into one city. It's hard to find rest when there's so much to see and tourist-ing is tiring work, but as soon as I'm back home I'm ready to be away again...

Postcards from London

I hopped over to London during my Northern Ireland visit and while I carried my camera around with me every day I didn't take that many photographs (well, for me anyway). Even so there were a few things I was very determined to capture: a red double decker bus and a traditional taxi cab. Although I think my favorite shot is the tongue-in-cheek "postcards from London."

Papillon

I usually feel as if an "outfit post" isn't an outfit post when you can't see the shoes or purse. I mean, are we to assume bare feet and no house key or wallet is practical styling? But sometimes you just want to spin around in a field of yellow flowers and your necessities get lost in the tall grass or pushed to the side for a few minutes. Between the frequent sunshine, warm temperatures, and beautiful flowers, this visit to Northern Ireland has assured me that summer here can be beautiful. People always warn you that it rains a lot in Ireland and while that is assuredly true, the country doesn't live under a perpetual rain cloud and there have even been days when I wished for a little bit of cloud coverage and a breeze to cut the heat.

London Instant

A few pictures from my Instagram because I'm briefly in London enjoying the sights. I'll be sharing some proper London postcards as soon as I get a chance to edit them. More random London pics here.

Lost in Loughgall

It was suggested that I title this post "lost in Loughgall" since it has a nice ring to it and although I was technically not lost while shooting these pictures, lost is how I'd describe myself most of the time in Northern Ireland. Others are driving me around so I have only a foggy idea our location and the names spoken in foreign accents tend to go in one year and out the other since inevitably when I visualize the spelling of a town it's so incorrect I can't point it out on a map. On top of that our days are packed; while a languid view of my journeys might be shared here on the blog most of the time we're usually out in the morning and don't return until the evening as we hop from one thing to another and I tend to forget where I was anyway. Oh well, I'll figure out where I am eventually..
